Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
Safe Dash ("Safe Dash", "we", "us") is a private analytics dashboard that helps a merchant compare advertising spend against real e-commerce revenue. This policy explains what data we access, how we use it, and how we protect it. By using Safe Dash you agree to this policy.
1. Who this is for
Safe Dash is an internal tool used by the store owner and their authorized team members. Access requires a username and password that an administrator creates. We do not offer public sign-ups and do not collect data from the general public.
2. Data we access and process
- Shopify store data — orders, order line items, totals, discounts, refunds, financial/fulfillment status, timestamps, and the UTM parameters attached to orders. We use the minimum scopes required (e.g. read_orders) and read it through Shopify's official Admin API.
- Advertising data — campaign, ad set and ad performance metrics (spend, impressions, clicks, reach, frequency, conversions, video metrics, and creative thumbnails) from connected ad platforms such as Meta and, where connected, Google and others, via their official APIs.
- Account data — the username and a salted, hashed password for each authorized dashboard user. Passwords are never stored in plain text.
We do not collect end-customer personal information such as names, emails, addresses, or payment details. Customer identifiers, where present, are stored only as opaque platform IDs.
3. How we use the data
Data is used solely to compute and display analytics inside the dashboard — revenue, ROAS, attribution, product and creative performance, and reporting reconciliation. We do not use it for advertising, profiling of individuals, or any purpose unrelated to the merchant's own reporting.
4. Storage, security, and credentials
Data is stored in a hosted PostgreSQL database accessed over encrypted (TLS) connections. API access tokens are read from the server environment at request time and are referenced — never stored in the database in plain text. Access to the dashboard is restricted by authentication.
5. Sharing and selling
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. Data is only transmitted between the merchant's own connected platforms (Shopify, ad platforms) and the Safe Dash instance operated for that merchant.
6. Google API Services — Limited Use
Safe Dash's use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Information obtained through Google APIs is used only to provide the merchant's own reporting features, is not transferred to others except as necessary to provide those features or as required by law, and is not used for advertising or sold to anyone.
7. Data retention and deletion
Synced data is retained only as long as needed for reporting and is overwritten on each sync. You may request deletion of your data or disconnection of a platform at any time by contacting us; doing so removes the corresponding records and revokes stored token references.
8. Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "last updated" date.
